The Studio Turns 20 Anniversary Issue
Once again we anticipate the arrival of Spring - a season of renewal and celebration. This time we have more than the emerging crocuses and pastels to look forward to. The Studio celebrates it's 20th Anniversary this April, twenty years... that's a long time. Growing The Studio, like raising a child, has been lots of hard work, plenty of worry, but no less wonder and delight.

We began in a small room in Marcie's apartment full of big dreams and determined to make them happen. That was the beginning of an adventure that has challenged us in more ways than we could ever have imagined.

The world has changed dramatically over those twenty years. We've worked hard keeping up with the good times (those booming 80's), surviving the hard times (the early 90's), and always responding to the changing times. We're grateful for the demise of the conservative gray suit with its sensible blouse and paisley tie; and we welcome today's more relaxed styles and dress codes. Technology finally triumphed, our tin cash box was replaced by a computer that at a keystroke could tell us what color and size jacket you bought in September of '97.

But there are some things a computer cannot measure. The best and most rewarding part has been you, the extraordinary women who have taught us and touched us. Simply said, we are here because of you, and it is these relationships we celebrate next month. It's been a grand ride and the adventure continues with new dreams and new challenges.

Thank you thank you thank you,

Sandy, Marcie and Ilene

Giving Something Back
Not only has The Studio prospered and grown in Brookline, but we live here and have educated seven children in the Brookline public schools. Because we believe strongly in giving back to our community that has given us so much, we are establishing a Studio College Scholarship for a deserving female student at Brookline High School.
